Oklahoma City Districts Feature
Project Description: The objective of this social media project was to create a fun and informative digital campaign, designed specifically for students of Oklahoma City University, that highlighted the various activities, attractions, and businesses within Oklahoma City. This digital campaign utilizes Instagram’s carousel tool and combines photography, custom graphics, typography, and videography to create a visually seamless collage meant to capture the vibe of each district.

The Process:
Capturing Content
First, the photographer, videographer, social media manager, and I traveled to each district throughout Oklahoma City to capture photo and video content for the social media campaign. The goal was to capture the unique atmosphere and character of each area through imagery that could be easily adapted and incorporated into the campaign’s social media graphics.
My next objective was to create key brand elements for the campaign that would immediately capture the audience’s attention from the first slide of each graphic. I began by exploring a variety of typefaces and color combinations that complemented the concept while giving the campaign an energetic and engaging feel.
With the visual identity established and the photo and video content captured, I began developing the layouts for the graphics. I started by sketching out different compositions to determine how the imagery and text could work together. My goal was to create a layout that felt fun and engaging while still presenting the information clearly. This process ultimately led to a dynamic, seamless collage designed to flow naturally across an Instagram carousel.
